Discovering the Colorful World of Harlequin Beetles

Harlequin Beetles have a simple diet of plant matter and primarily feed on sap and the soft tissues of trees. They use specialized mouthparts to puncture the bark and access the nutritious inner layers. While they mainly eat the Cecropia tree, they do feed on other tree species.
